After spending an hour with Pea tonight trying to get him settled (he is super tired after a week of soccer camp) I finally made my way out of his room and down the stairs. He was not happy about being left alone. A few minutes later, I heard:
Pea: MOMMY!!
Me: Yes, love?
Pea: Guess how much love I have!!
Me: How much?
Pea: NONE!! I'm all out!!!
And then...crying.
Poor bug.

You Could Sleep With Me
Pea just had a bad dream, so I went into his room to settle him. After some time,a I said that I was going to go back to my own room to get some sleep and he said, "Mommy, you could sleep with me. I pwomise I won't kick you".
So sweet.
So sweet.

Love Fecks
A few months ago, G. began giving "Love Fecks" to people he cared most about. A "Love Feck" is a combination of a hug, then a kiss on the cheek, followed by rubbing cheeks together. It is saved for only the most intimate moments and is something that G. uses to show his love. So cute!

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom
We woke bright and early and headed off to the most magical place on Earth: Magic Kingdom. Upon entering the park, we met Pluto and got BIG hugs for everyone.

The park had been decorated beautifully for Autumn!

We had planned this trip for days and knew exactly which rides and attractions we'd want to see, but once there, some of our plans went out the window and we just rolled with it. On this first day we rode the carousel, Winnie The Pooh, The Mad Hatter, It's a Small World (three times), Ariel's Grotto, Enchanted Tales With Belle, Peter Pan's Flight, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

We had lunch at Columbia Harbour House (delicious) and then headed back to the hotel for a swim and a rest since the temperatures had us a little lethargic.
Later on in the evening, we headed back to Magic Kingdom as we had dinner reservations at Crystal Palace. On the bus ride to MK, Pea fell asleep and once in the park, Chick fell asleep, too.

Since we were a little early for our dinner reservations and still had a fastpass for Splash Mountain, J. and I decided to ride it while the kids slept (taking turns, of course). When I arrived at the front of the line, the cast member asked me if I wanted to sit in front. I said, "I don't know. Do I want to sit in the front?" and he said, "It's the BEST!". So I did. I got SOAKED. Like, wring me out, soaked! Fun, though.
We then headed to Crystal Palace to have dinner with Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. So fun! Of course, both kids had "issues" upon waking from their naps and were difficult to console until the friends came to hug them.

Second Family Trip to Disney World!
We spent much of today traveling from our hometown to Buffalo in order to board a flight to Orlando. Earlier in the year, with the help of our friend Catherine, we booked this trip and had been anticipating it for some time. After weeks of counting down the days, it was time to GO!
We arrived in Orlando in the early evening and checked into our hotel, Port Orleans Riverside. We stayed here the first time we came to Disney and loved it so much we decided to come back. We requested a top floor, corner room and got it! As well, we had been notified by mail that all of the refrigerators in the resort rooms had been removed because of an issue they were experiencing with them. To our surprise, though, our room had a working refrigerator! With temperatures in the 40s, we were thrilled to be able to have cold drinks at any time.
We ordered some groceries through a service here in Orlando and it was all here upon our arrival. SO AWESOME and SO worth the fee!
After settling in, we decided to head down to the resort restaurant for some dinner. We were all so hungry and it was good to fill our bellies with some warm, delicious food.

Picnics and Raccoons
Yesterday, the twins and I packed a picnic lunch, loaded up the car with bikes and toys, and headed over to one of our favourite places in town. It was a beautiful day with white fluffy clouds in the deep blue sky, and the weather was cool and breezy.

We played a little at the park and then quickly dove into our lunches. I don't know what it is about eating outdoors, but the kids love it!

After lunch, we hopped on our bikes for a ride around the B-Ville Creek. Beautiful!

We even saw a baby raccoon on the path. Poor little guy was a little scared of us as we passed by.

I love these glorious summer afternoons.

Centreville Amusement Park
Last Monday we boarded the GO Train, took a ferry across to Centre Island, and enjoyed a day of fun and family with our amazing friends Catherine and Hannah. It was a super fun day from start to finish and I don't think anyone wanted it to end. All of the rides are meant for little ones to enjoy so it was a welcomed change from the loud and sometimes obnoxious Wonderland trips we've had in the past. This park was right up our alley!
