Dance Skilz
Pea really gets into it at the :27, :45, and 1:00 mark. Chick is more of a kicker, than a dancer. Fun!

Play Date
Chick and Pea welcomed the very sweet Hannah and her beautiful mom Catherine for a play date this afternoon. I'm so sorry, Denver, but I think that a new man has captured Hannah's heart.
Don't they make a delicious couple? Sure, there's that five month age difference, but Pea is mature for his age...
Thanks so much for the visit, ladies! Hope we can do it again very soon.

Babyhood
Dear Pea,
Dear Chick,
There are so many things I love about each of you. I wish I could stop time so that I won't forget any of your cuteness.
- I love the way your tongue curves into a sideways slant and quivers when you cry
- I love the way you start your smiles with a big open mouth
- I love the way you prelude your big cries with warning "coughs"
- I love the way you look up at me with your deep blue eyes as your breastfeed
- I love the way your eyebrows arch upwards when you are on your tummy
- I love the way your tongue starts making sucking movements when you see your bottle
- I love the way you smile at the illustrations in books
- I love that you fall asleep in your car seat within a minute of any drive
- I love that you look around, wide-eyed, when we shop at the grocery store
- I love that you laugh at your own reflection in the mirror
- I love that you curl your hands into tight fists when you sleep
- I love that your chin still quivers when you are excited, sad, or unhappy
- I love the way your bring your entire lower body up towards your stomach when you are on your back and playing on the play mat
- I love the way your bring your hands up to your mouth when you are excited
- I love that you love getting kisses on your lips from me
- I love that you are so easy to burp
- I love that when I go to you in your crib in the mornings, you look up at me with a huge smile
- I love that you think opening the blinds in the mornings is so funny
- I love to kiss the space between your eyes
- I love that you stretch your arms up over your head when you wake up from a nap
Dear Chick,
- I love your crooked smile
- I love that you smile at us from behind your soother
- I love that you smile at us from behind your bottle
- I love that you try so hard to talk to us
- I love that you find your tongue so interesting
- I love how you shake your head back and forth when you are falling asleep
- I love that you are such a good sleeper
- I love the little sounds you make with your mouth
- I love that when we take the soother out of your mouth when you are sleeping, your mouth still makes the sucking movements with your lips
- I love that you save your big cries for really big reasons
- I love that after it takes us 10 minutes to put on your harness, you give us a big smile
- I love that you have such a big appetite and finish every bottle we give you
- I love your soft, fuzzy head
- I love your big blue eyes
- I love the folds of fat in your legs
- I love your soft knees
- I love kissing your belly
- I love that you smack your tongue against the roof of your mouth when you are hungry
- I love that you blow bubbles with your lips
- I love that you furrow your brows when you study us or when you are upset
There are so many things I love about each of you. I wish I could stop time so that I won't forget any of your cuteness.

Moments
Having lived with our babies for thirteen weeks, you'd think we would get used to the fact that there are two babies here. That we are parents to two babies. That we have a son and a daughter. That I am a mom and K2 is a dad. However, it still shocks us. So many times we look at one another and say, "There are TWO babies here...and they are here for good". I sometimes worry that this is all a dream and that one day we'll wake up and find out that our beautiful babies were just a figment of our imaginations. It's no wonder I check on them constantly and hate to be away from them for any amount of time. Again, nothing is wasted on us. I find small moments that take my breath away every single day.
The sunrise I get to see every morning from Chick's window.
The tiniest shoes and slippers by the front door.
These two beautiful beings asleep for their naps.
If this is a dream, I never want to waken.

Conversations
Chick: Thanks for taking the time to sit down and talk with me today.
Pea: No problem.
Chick: It's just...sometimes I feel like no one UNDERSTANDS me, you know? Like no one really LISTENS to me.
Pea: Uh huh.
Chick: And I try...Lord knows I try. I talk and talk and babble so they think I'm the cutest. But no one really gets me, you know? No one really pays attention to the deeper meaning behind my thoughts.
Pea: Hmmmm
Chick: I don't know. Maybe it's me. Am I not interesting enough? Do I come on too strong?
Chick: Well? HELLO??
Pea: This is like the BEST rattle I've ever played with. It's so totally fun! What is it you were saying?
Chick: Do you want me to cry? Do you?
