Lately I have noticed that we encounter these intrusions with much less frequency than before. We have reached the blessed ambiguity of twindom (reserved only for fraternal twins, no doubt - sorry identicals!). People can no longer assume that Chick and Pea are twins (Pea easily has four pounds on our petite Chick) and so we are stopped less often. Now when we are stopped it is only to ask if the kids are twins, followed by the ever-so-popular "You have your hands full".
I love twinbiguity.
Our little twinlets playing on the deck yesterday morning after breakfast.
It was 0˚C (32˚F) and they were still wearing their sleepers, but by geez if they were going to let those two issues prevent them from having fun.

It drives me crazy when people touch babies that are not theirs...
ReplyDeleteLOve the photos...
The kids are growing up sooo fast..
Hugz..
and that is COLD....
People touch Jeane and Adam's hair ALL THE TIME. It drives me nuts.
ReplyDeleteI can see why people would be drawn to their wonderful smiles!
ReplyDeleteTouching however - that would bug me too!
It always boggles my mind how people feel they have the right to intrude into a complete strangers life, without permission.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin's wife told me that people would reach to touch her belly when she was pregnant, people she didn't know.
Just amazing.
People….:-/
ReplyDelete(My word verification is "colic")
I know what you mean! Gotta love that "you've got your hands full". That may be so, but so are our hearts, right?
ReplyDeleteThe flip side of twinbiguity, which may not affect you since Chick and Pea have such a resemblance to each other, is that people don't always believe Burrito and Tamale are twins.
ReplyDelete"Are you sure? They don't look alike."
"I don't think they can be twins, she's much bigger than he is."
"How can they be twins? One of them is bald and the other has a full head of hair."
I would reach out and touch their boob when they try to touch the kiddies. See how they like it...
ReplyDeleteKeep smilin!
